Our Story

At Figtree Anglican Church, we focus on building meaningful relationships – first and foremost, a relationship with God through Jesus, and secondly, relationships with one another. As we grow in spiritual maturity, these relationships deepen and strengthen.

For those interested in the history of our church, The Fruitful Figtree, by Stuart Piggin, offers a detailed account of Figtree Anglican Church from 1888 to 1983.

At Figtree Anglican Church, our mission is to build a community of believers who glorify God in every aspect of life. Though we come from different places and backgrounds, we are united by our shared purpose: to follow Christ’s mission of making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:16-20).

Making disciples is at the heart of everything we do. It is God’s chosen way to spread the Good News of salvation through Jesus. Together, we strive to live out this calling in our everyday lives, committed to Christ’s mission.

Want to know more about Jesus?

At Figtree Anglican Church, we believe that Jesus is Lord – the source of life and the giver of true purpose. Our prayer is that more people will come to know the beauty and glory of Christ, and through encountering Him, experience transformed hearts and renewed desire to honour Him and live for His glory.
