DESCRIPTION:Come and celebrate International Women’s Day with a girls’ gig in the garden!  \nWith the beautiful green backdrop of nature\, the very talented Michelle Beavan and friends will entertain us with with some classic hits\, girls’ anthems\, and quality originals. \nWe’ll hear stories from Alice\, a sister from the Solomon Islands\, and Kelly Alexander will share a reflection on “Women’s Business” – shared wisdom\, healing\, and faith. \nWe have an ice-cream truck serving cups of frozen yogurt\, sorbet\, or ice cream with yummy toppings to load\, yogurt bar style\, and included in your ticket! Bring the favourite women in your life and enjoy a fun afternoon with us. \nBYO picnic blanket or chair. \nProceeds from the event will be going to The Christian Care Centre in the Solomon Islands. Please contact Jo Brain if finances are an obstacle. \nOur guest speaker\, Paula\, will be leading us to explore God’s Word together\, discovering how the early church lived and what their community-focused approach can teach us today. \nWe’ll dig into the tension between collectivism and individualism\, and how these impact both our church life and our personal relationship with Jesus. Plus\, we’ll see church community through the fascinating perspective of a New Testament woman. \nWe are slowing down the program this year to be less rushed and allow more space to reflect and time to connect. However\, you will still get the benefit of all the lovely things this retreat time away offers. That includes: \n\nThree sessions together with worship\, teaching and stories\nCarved out time alone with God plus small group time\nExcellent food in a restful location\nTime to connect with other beautiful women\nLots of electives options\nBonus: An external qualified massage therapist will be offering 15-minute shoulder and back massages in the afternoon. DESCRIPTION:Join us for laid back conversations and a walk (or just coffee) in beautiful Mount Kembla. \nDate: Saturday 26 July \nTime and Location: Meet at 9am at the bottom of Stones Road in Mount Kembla (near Mount Kembla oval). \nChoose to either do a flat 4-5km walk OR a more challenging walk with elevation (note there is some uneven terrain so good walking shoes/sneakers required). \nThen\, meet at 10am at the cafe within Mount Kembla Village Hotel (the lounge area\, out the back). \nLadies\, we’d love to see you there!
