PTC Course – Doctrine 1

The Preliminary Theological Course (PTC) is an excellent way to dig deeper into your biblical knowledge, both to bless your own relationship with God, and help everyone who is leading others in places like LifeGroups, youth, or kids ministry.
Doctrine, or systematic theology, is in the end why we open our Bibles, why we preach and teach, and the basis of how we respond and relate to God. Doctrine is all about what we actually think and believe. If reading Scripture is gathering the ingredients, doctrine is the meal that is served up in the end.
In ‘Doctrine 1’ we learn and remind ourselves what God wants us to know and believe about who He is, what He is truly like, and how we can know Him and know about Him with certainty. Paul’s instruction to Timothy was to “watch your life and doctrine closely” (1 Tim 4:16); here is great chance to go for a doctrinal check up.
Full course notes are provided, so if you miss a week you will not be lost, and the exam at the conclusion of the course is optional.
Date: The course runs for 10 weeks on Wednesday nights, starting 10 September
Time: 7-9pm
