Figtree Youth is the youth ministry of FAC. It’s made up of a dynamic program on Friday night for the different year groups, where youth (year 6 to 12) can hang out together in a positive and engaging peer environment. For those in years 7-10 who are keen to find out more about Jesus through dipping into God’s word; to be encouraged and challenged on what it means to ‘live life to the full’, then come along to FUEL (LifeGroup for youth) held Sunday nights from 4pm.
Details to come and Registrations open in September
FUEL is a youth-based bible study - which serves as an extension to our Friday night youth hangs. Each year group has dedicated youth leaders who go through different books of the bible throughout the year. It’s an awesome chance to dig deeper into God’s word and have some cool discussions! We meet at 4, then head to FUSE at 6pm.
If you’re interested in coming along, contact one of the youth team so they can connect you with the appropriate year leader.
Figtree youth is open to anyone and everyone in years 6 – 12 and runs every Friday night of the school term. There are two time slots for Youth - Jnr youth runs from 6:00-7:30pm for years 6 to 8 and Snr youth runs from 8:00-10:00pm for years 9 to 12. Both Jnr and Snr happen here at FAC.
During the first half of youth we gather together for Big Group Time (BGT); a chance to do something a bit crazy together, hear someone share from God's word and pray. At Snr we also Worship. After BGT we break up into our years groups. Year time is the highlight of the night for many of our youth. We do all sorts of things happen during this time ranging from off-site nights (e.g. pancakes on the rocks, trips to kiama, bowling) to food nights, movie nights, Nerf Wars, Sports nights, board games nights, capture the flag... you name it! Check out our programs to see what kind of nights are happening for your year this term!
If you’re keen to come along, contact our youth minister ([email protected]) who can connect you with the appropriate year leader.
If you'd like more information about what we do at Youth and/or FUEL, please call the Church office and ask for Myles (Youth Minister) or Peter (Youth Intern).
