What is Gift Day?
A history of generosity at Figtree Anglican Church
The story of Figtree Anglican Church (FAC) is one of providence and generosity. FAC is rich with resource and has been a blessing to others because of a history of the saints being generous with the provision of God. FAC’s annual Gift Day has been an opportunity to walk in the legacy of generosity and continue to see FAC accomplish various projects for the good of the Kingdom of God.
Each year, Gift Day provides an opportunity to contribute to various projects across our church and beyond. Past Gift Day projects have contributed to essential maintenance on our church property, supported new or existing ministries, or provided opportunities to share our resources with others.

2026 Projects
God’s Church, God’s Ministry
$40,000
With the breadth of ministries and activities at Figtree Anglican Church, unexpected needs inevitably arise throughout the year. The “God’s Church, God’s Ministry” fund is designed to meet these needs without placing additional pressure on regular weekly giving.
This initiative has been warmly supported in the past, reflecting the trust our church family places in the Wardens and Parish Council to allocate resources wisely. It allows flexibility to respond to emerging opportunities and challenges, ensuring that ministry can continue effectively and without interruption.
By giving to this project, you are supporting the full scope of church life—helping sustain ministries, resources, and initiatives that serve both our congregation and the wider community.
FAC Air Conditioning
$30,000
For more than two decades, our air-conditioning system has faithfully served both the auditorium and the Children’s Ministry Centre. However, at 22 years old, it is now reaching the end of its expected lifespan. While it may continue operating for a few more years, it could also begin to fail within the next 12 months.
Replacing the system will be a significant undertaking, with costs expected to reach well into six figures. This Gift Day initiative is part of a multi-year effort to prepare for that future expense.
Contributing to this project is an act of stewardship—caring for the facilities God has entrusted to us and ensuring they remain functional and welcoming for future generations. A reliable climate-controlled environment allows both our church family and the wider community to gather in comfort throughout the year.
SRE
Scripture in public schools
$25,000
The opportunity to teach Scripture in public schools across NSW is both unique and deeply valuable. At Figtree Anglican Church, a committed team of scripture teachers faithfully serves six local primary schools each week during the school term, while we are also able to have our own Logan Brailey employed as an SRE chaplain.
These volunteers share the message of Jesus with children from Kindergarten through Year 6, helping to lay a spiritual foundation during formative years. This Gift Day, you are invited to partner in this ministry by supporting the financial needs that enable this work to continue.
Ways to Give
Collect a Gift Day projects booklet during any of our Sunday services or from the church office, and fill out the form on the final page. Choose your giving method (online, direct deposit, cash or credit card) and return your form to FAC on or before Sunday 31 May. A giving form must be completed to quality for a tax receipt if giving to SRE.

Direct Deposit
Your Gift Day donation can be sent straight to the Figtree Anglican Church account via direct deposit. Providing your name to us is optional, however this will assist us to track your giving. Direct Deposit giving can be sent to :

Cash donations for Gift Day projects can be dropped into the church office during the week or placed in the offertory boxes during any of the Sunday Services. Please place Gift Day donations into an envelope with your giving form.
