Women’s Day Retreat
Sat 12 September from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Women’s Day Retreat
We invite you to join with the women of Figtree Anglican Church for a special day together in Kiama. This is an opportunity to gather with women of all ages, to be inspired by God’s word and real stories, share good food and conversations, and be refreshed with a day away. The feedback from our annual retreats is always highly positive and those that attend genuinely value this special time.
Date: Saturday, 12 September
Time: 9am – 4:00pm
Where: Kiama Anglican Church, 2 Terralong St, Kiama
Ticket: $45
Held in the Surrender
The God of the universe holds your life in his hands. In the waiting, in the worrying, we can surrender ourselves to the one who is sovereign, faithful, and worthy of our whole-hearted worship. Across the day we will look at the stories of three different women in the Bible, and consider God’s call to surrender our hopes, fears and hearts to him.
Meet Our Speaker: Grace Jones
Grace currently serves at Wollongong Baptist Church where she oversees Sunday gatherings and seeks to help the church to worship and magnify the Lord. She has completed theological study at both Mary Andrews College (MAC) and Sydney Missionary and Bible College (SMBC) and delights in getting to spend time studying God’s word and unpacking it with others.
Prior to entering into ministry, Grace worked as a high school Drama teacher, and she enjoys stepping back into the classroom from time to time. Grace has been married to Tim for (almost) 16 years, and she relishes long walks down by the beach. Kiama is one of her most treasured places on earth, and she’s delighted to get to join us for a day down south at our retreat!
What to Expect
The day will include Bible teaching from Grace, time in worship and prayer, delicious food, wonderful company, as well as time for electives.
As this is a hired space only we need many hands to help make this event run. In the registration process you will be given some options of how you could serve on the day. Thanks for your servant hearts and hands if you are able.
If you have any questions, contact our Women’s Minister, Jo Brain. All registrations close firmly on Thursday, 3 September.
If the cost of registration is in any way prohibitive to attend, please feel welcome to contact Jo Brain for a part-subsidised registration option.
