‘Manna House, a place to belong providing food friendship and hope for the future,’
This has been our vision for nineteen years. Using food and an extended hand of friendship on Jesus behalf, we welcome people from the community to join us for a home-cooked meal each week. We do this onsite at Figtree Anglican Church on Thursday evenings from 5-6:30pm.
All welcome.

Our Pastoral Care are a small team who pray and follow-up on pastoral needs of church members through notes, cards, phone calls and home visits, outside what is met in LifeGroups. Anyone with a heart to listen and pray can join the team, with specific Pastoral Training available through Anglicare.
Ministry of Meals
Pastoral Care also provide frozen meals as situations arise, lovingly prepared by members of Figtree Anglican. Anyone can contribute by cooking & freezing meals (labelled with content) in takeaway containers.
Contact the Church Office for info about providing meals.
Each month, small teams go into a number of local nursing homes to minister to the residents through a simple message, Bible reading and singing of familiar hymns. Communion is also served. You don’t need any formal training, just a willingness to give an hour a month to engage with and bless not only the residents but also the nursing staff.
Villa Maria: 2nd Wednesday of the month | 11-11:30am
Hillside at Figtree: 4th Wednesday of the month | 1:30-2:30pm
Cordeaux Lodge: 4th Thursday of the month at 2:30pm
Contact Peter Clark for more info about joining a team.
NB: Some nursing homes require volunteers to have a Police Check (they pay for it)
Figtree Community Carols is one of the ways our church serves our local community. It is recognised and valued by our community as a time of gathering each year in early December to bring the joy of Christmas to Figtree and surrounds. Members of our church serve in a variety of ways to bring Carols, joy, togetherness and the message of Jesus to our community. There are many opportunities to serve during Carols each year.
