At Figtree Anglican we embrace the command that all Christians are to go and make disciples of Jesus (Matthew 28:19) and to take part in the Great Commission. Our members do this in wonderful ways in their everyday lives in our community. Our evangelism ministries give us opportunities together to connect and share the gospel, be equipped, and grow in being disciple makers.
Short courses in small groups of people who are exploring faith are great ways to explore Christianity and build community. The main course we use is Christianity Explored - which is a 7 session course designed for anybody who wants to find out about Christianity. It runs in groups or via Zoom led by church members. It's a chance to understand what the Bible says about life and God, and a safe space to ask questions. The course utilises short videos, looking at some Bible passages and discussion, with people able to participate as they feel comfortable. These groups are wonderful opportunities for seasoned Christians to grow and be disciples. We also offer other courses including Life Explored and Discipleship Explored.

We value that every member is equipped and able to know and share the gospel in everyday life. Courses are offered throughout the year that help us do that. These include courses such as XEE, Hope For Kids, Share Your Faith training and other seminars and workshops.

Reading the Bible one-to-one with another is a great way to share the good news. Even just asking people to read a chapter of the Bible with them opens up opportunities to present the gospel. Word One-to-One is a great resource for reading through the book of John and helping our friends engage with Jesus straight from the Bible.
