Women's Teaching Series: Jewels from James

Women, we love gathering with you to  learn, be sharpened, and encouraged together!

Our next Women’s topical/teaching series kicks off at the beginning of Term 2, over four Tuesday evenings. We would love you to come, or bring your LifeGroup gals, and hear some relevant jewels from the ever-practical book of James.

Dates: 30 April, 7 May, 14 May, 21 May
Time: 7:30pm
Location: Figtree Anglican Church

Week 1: Tuesday 30th April

The Tongue

Hear from our own Jacqueline Vermeer (10am congregation), who will be speaking on those confronting parts of James that address our tongues and how we use our words. There will also be a panel of women of various ages who will share their battles on this topic.

Week 2: Tuesday 7th May

Trials and Suffering

Sharon Hodsden will explore James’ exhortation in chapter 1 to find joy in troubles. She and Paula McPhail will each share how trials and suffering have produced endurance and growth, and how that might encourage each of us.

Week 3: Tuesday 14th May

Faith in Action

The amazing organisation A21 are doing important work around the world to combat human trafficking. Hear from some of their team on how their faith is put into action to fight this awful reality.

Week 4: Tuesday 21st May

Worship night

A space to sit at the feet of our Lord together, in singing and through other creative elements. “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows” James 1:17
