World Missions Conference

Making a Kingdom Difference

Sat 17 - Sun 25 August 2024

The annual World Missions Conference is our focus on gospel mission across the globe. It's a reminder that as well as being involved in proclaiming the gospel here in Wollongong, we also have a part to play in the gospel going forward around the world.

This year, our special guest, Stephen Liggins, will be speaking at all services on Sunday 18 and 25 August, and encouraging us throughout the week that God will use us to make a kingdom difference in mission.

The purpose of the conference is:

  • Build our biblical understanding of mission
  • Challenge us to be active in mission
  • Raise prayer and support for our Mission Partners

These are the 2024 Mission Partners we will be raising funds and prayer support for during the conference:

  • EE East Africa - Youth and Kids Project
  • The Bible Society - Equipping Indigenous Bible Translators
  • Vietnam Church for the Deaf - Lighthouse Evangelical Church
  • Elizabeth in the Middle East
  • Bush Church Aid - Supporting Trent and Alice McGrath, Jindabyne
  • African Enterprise - Juba, South Sudan Mission
  • Open Doors - Supporting the persecuted church in India

For more information about our 2024 Mission Partners, view the World Missions Conference booklet online here.

GIVING TO OUR MISSION PARTNERS

Our World Missions Conference is about considering how you can prayerfully support and financially contribute to our Mission Partners.

All giving that is directed to a specific Mission Partner will be allocated exclusively to that partner, regardless of whether the fundraising target for that partner has already been achieved.

In addition to the option of direct giving to a Mission Partner(s), a person can also choose to give to a General Mission Fund. At its first meeting after the World Missions Conference, the Missions Committee will make a recommendation to Parish Council as to how money in the General Mission Fund will be distributed to the Mission Partners. This final distribution will be communicated to our church community.
