PreacherRon Irving Date20/05/18 Passage1 Corinthians 13:1-13 Service10am Synopsis1 Corinthians is widely considered the greatest love passage in the Bible. What it does is identify various and diverse qualities of this most complex attitude, emotion and Christian virtue. Without love, everything else is worthless. The words from vs 4-7 describe love's nature, in language designed to point to how poorly the Corinthians were measuring up. Love is permanent. What we know from this passage is that love remains the greatest challenge today. AttachmentsNo attachments Audio |

PreacherRon Irving Date17/06/18 Passage2 Peter 1:3-11 Service10am SynopsisCharacter is what defines you, character is what people see in you. It is what people will say about you after you pass away. Character is one of the most important things you have. When you read the things that men and women value in each other, it is character always matters in the end. Peter, as he writes, is reminding people that God has given us the power to live godly lives. While we are always a work in progress (Phil 1:6) we should always be seeking greater spiritual maturity. Being a Christian is something that affects our lives in both word and deed. AttachmentsNo attachments Audio |
The purpose of the Depth series is to help our people grow deeper in their desire and love of God, and to help us understand what it looks like in the day to day of ordinary life to be in the presence of God. Our prayer is, as we go deeper, that our relationship with God would empower us on mission - our inner life with Jesus would empower our service for Jesus.
